Tab to Guitar Pro

Paste a text tab, open a PDF or picture of a printed one, or give a Songsterr link; correct what was misread, and save it as a Guitar Pro file. Note lengths, section names, repeats, ties, slides and dead notes are carried over. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you paste or open is sent anywhere.

1

Add the tab

Copy the whole tab from the site, with the rhythm letters above the lines and the section names. Click in the box, press Ctrl A, then Ctrl V.

Example riff, made up for this page. Your paste replaces it.
2

Name the file

More options

Empty bars first: bars of rest before the tab starts, for a part that comes in late. The bar numbers then match the recording.

3

Check and save

Reading the tab

Opens in Guitar Pro 7 and 8.

    What was read

The file follows the tab from top to bottom, one line of music here for each line of the tab. It is as accurate as the tab you give it: where the note lengths are missing or do not add up, the bar is marked so you can fix it here before you save.
